In December 2010 Taipan Solutions completed a Systems Engineering review of the Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) Project.

The initial system is being installed at Sydney Airport and will be certified as a CAT-1 precision approach system.

Taipan Solutions has been contracted to provide systems engineering services for the upgrade of VOR/DME navigation aids around Australia.

During 2005 Taipan Solutions produced a series of analytical reports on electronic firing systems for Metal Storm weapon  development

Taipan Solutions has been contracted to provide systems engineering services to Airservices Australia upgrade of NDB navigation aids.

Low Frequency and Medium Frequency antenna systems are generally very inefficient radiators. The ground plane system is a major contributor to NDB inefficiency. Since the NDB equipment and antenna design is usually fixed, optimal design can only be achieved by minimising the ground plane costs, including power dissipated into the ground.

Taipan Solutions conducted life-cycle analysis with the objective to optimize ground plane design to attain maximum system efficiency per dollar of NDB site and operational cost.

Projects

In 2003 Taipan Solutions was contracted to provide technical expertise and management of Boeing’s Instrumented EMC Test development. In 2004 the project successfully used the software driven EMC Test System on a Black Hawk helicopter. The EMC Test Capability was certified in 2006.
